Plan could see WiFi on beaches
It can't be a tax, for legal reasons, but holiday accommodation providers in Teignbridge within a mile of a beach could ask their guests for an extra pound per room per night to help fund beach services.
Some providers have concerns about how the money will be collected and accounted for.
The district council's hatched the plan - which could see WiFi coverage being extended onto beaches. Watch a short report here.
