Sidmouth now has two potentially life-saving defibrillators - to be used for treating people suffering heart attacks.
A new unit has been installed on the outside wall of the council's Market Building in Market Square in the town centre.
Earlier this year a public defibrillator was made available at the Cricket, Tennis and Croquet club.
