It's been revealed more than 350 thousand children in the South West live in families facing tax credit cuts.
The Children's Society are warning the Government the cuts target mainly low paid families.
They claim almost 30 thousand, mainly low paid households, would lose out in Devon.
The average amount that would be cut from family incomes is predicted to be around a hundred pounds a month.
In Exeter, more 4 thousand 300 families would be affected by the cuts, the figure for East Devon is around the same.
They're now calling on the Government to make a pledge before christmas to abandon the planned cuts to working tax credits.
