A court has ruled that the resident dog at Bickleigh Castle must no longer be allowed to roam freely and mingle with visitors - after he bit a young waiter on the nose
The owner of the castle Robert Hay was summoned to appear before Exeter magistrates after police investigated the incident, which the court heard had left the 16 year old boy with a fear of dogs.
Magistrates were also told the Labrador had attacked members of the public on two other occasions in recent years.
Mr Hay has been told the dog must be kept under tight control at all times and wear a muzzle when off the lead.
