Farmers, rural businesses and community organisations in Mid and East Devon are to benefit from £1.2 million worth of European funding.
The money's coming from an EU-funded programme to create jobs and develop businesses in rural areas.
Projects which increase farm productivity, boost rural tourism, provide public services or offer cultural and heritage activities could all attract a share of the money, and the district and county councils will be helping local residents to apply for it.
Grants will be awarded by a panel of local representatives over the next two years.
