An Exmouth man is on the final leg of a major European solo sailing event of more than two thousand miles.
24-year-old Sam Matson, who learned his craft at Exe Sailing School, is taking part in the Solitaire de Figaro, which left Devon for Dieppe on Sunday.
The challenging race is undertaken in 33-foot yachts of a single design - so the only difference in speed is down to the ability of the sailor.
