Fire Crews are battling a blaze at the Brynsworthy Recycling Centre near Barnstaple.

They were called to the scene at 0622 this morning (Tuesday 9th July).

The environmental protection unit and support appliance from South Molton are there, along with 2 crews and the water bowser from Barnstaple.

A digger is being used to move waste to the open air.

In a statement, North Devon Council said: "We've had a small fire in our waste and recycling depot this morning. Nobody was hurt and our crews are now all out on the roads but they may be a little delayed getting to you today if it's your collection day."
