The Government's advisors on the natural environment are facing a legal challenge over plans to remove wild beavers from the River Otter.
Natural England have issued licences for taking the beavers into captivity.
But conservation group Friends of the Earth are formally challenging the licences, and asking for more information about the grounds for issuing them.
