Man stabbed in Totnes

Another arrested on suspicion of assault

A man has been stabbed in Totnes in the early hours of Tuesday [20 April].

Police were called to a report of a disturbance on Queens Terrace in the town just before 4.30am where they found a man at the Morrison’s fuel station. He was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 24-year-old man from Totnes was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The two people involved are thought to known each other. No further suspects are being sought.

DC Phil Harrison said: “We would like to reassure the community that there is no wider threat to members of the public from this isolated incident.”
