It happened between Lifton and Sprytown on the old A30
65 year old man from Okehampton has died after his motorbike collided with a car in a lane.
It happened at around 5.10pm last night (Monday 28th October) on an unnamed road between Lifton and Sprytown, Devon.
He was riding a Red Kawasaki ZX 12R and collided with a Silver Honda Jazz.
The motorcyclists was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 83 year old female driver of the car was taken to hospital but later discharged with minor injuries.
His family have been told and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The road was closed to allow collision investigation and road clearance to take place.
The police would like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity and witnessed the collision or may have dash cam footage of the incident or event leading up to it.
