Police are urging people to be vigilant after a woman fell victim to a distraction theft in Exeter.
It happened as she was sitting in her car in the car park of Waitrose in Heavitree on Friday 13th November.
The woman was approached by a man whilst she was in her Blue Fiat 500 just after 3 o'clock.
He asked her to get out to give him directions and a short time later the woman discovered that her bank cards had been stolen from the vehicle.
A large amount of money has since been withdrawn from the victim's account.
The suspect was in his 30s, with a stocky build and short black hair, and was smartly dressed, carrying a black laptop case.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and for people to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious.
