A scheme in which people with mental health problems in Devon are offered self-help books by their doctors is being hailed a success.
The 'books on prescription' initiative is run in conjunction with local libraries.
It's not designed to replace medical treatment but to supplement it by helping patients understand and manage their conditions.
It's been running for a year now and has seen a huge increase in the number of recommended self-help books being borrowed.
