Man bailed till Christmas Eve
A woman has been sexually assaulted and a man seriously injured in an incident in Cullompton.
Police were called to reports of an altercation between a man and a group of people on Exeter Road in the town around 3 p.m. last Thursday [25 November].
The man was taken to hospital with a serious arm injury.
One man in his forties, from the Cullompton area, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, assault occasioning grievous bodily harm, assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm and has been released on police bail to return on Christmas Eve, pending further enquiries.
