Wetherspoons wants to extend its opening hours at The Queen’s Head in Tavistock until 1.30am from Thursdays to Saturdays and serve food until 1am.
The pub currently shuts at midnight and serves meals until 11pm.
It has applied to West Devon Borough Council to vary its premises licence which also includes serving alcohol on and off the premises between 9am and 1am from Thursday to Saturday.
Anyone wishing to make representations to this application can do so in writing to The Licensing Department, West Devon Borough Council, Kilworthy Park, Drake Road, Tavistock, PL19 0BZ or by email to licensing@swdevon.gov.uk.
Representations must be received no later than April 28 2026.
The Tavistock pub and hotel in West Street, which has 12 en suite bedrooms, opened as a Wetherspoons in 2015. It was formerly the historic Brown’s Hotel but was previously known as The Queen’s Head coaching inn.
