Woman seriously assaulted in Plymouth

A woman has been seriously assaulted in the garden of a property in the Whitleigh area in Plymouth leading her to need hospital treatment.

Police were called to reports of an altercation between two women in Taunton Avenue at around 2 p.m. on Saturday 23 October.

There were also reports of an altercation in the street, near the junction with Budshead Road, during which a vehicle was flagged down and drove a woman from the scene.

A woman in her twenties from the Plymouth area has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm, criminal damage and possession of a class A drug and has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
