A woman in her 70s has potentially life changing injuries
Two people have been injured in a collision on the A39 in Bideford.
Emergency services were called at around 1pm to two vehicles, a red Citroen Picasso and a red Mercedes, near Abbotsham Cross.
The driver of the Citroen, a woman in her 70s from Barnstaple, had to be airlifted to Derriford Hospital with potentially life changing injures whilst the Mercedes driver, a man in his 50s from Bideford, had less serious injuries and was taken to North Devon District Hospital.
Investigations were carried out and the road was closed for six hours.
Officers are now working to establish the cause of the crash and are asking for any witnesses to get in touch.
