European Champions Cup Final
Radio Exe at the European Champions Cup Rugby Final, proudly sponsored by Northcott Beaton Insurance.
Ten years ago, Exeter Chiefs were in Bristol playing in the Championship play-off final. On Saturday October 17, Devon's finest will compete in the final of the biggest club competition in European rugby, the Champions Cup.
Rob Baxter's side have never won the Champions Cup before, they’ve never reached the final before, so win or lose this weekend they'll make history.
The former Premiership champions have enjoyed their best European season to date. They’re the only unbeaten side left in the competition - and they’ve scored more tries and points than any other team this season too.
Their opponents for the final, Racing 92, have reached the final twice in the past five seasons - but the French giants lost on both occasions.
European Champions Cup trophy
Exeter have already beaten a French heavyweight in their European campaign this season, they glided past Toulouse in the Champions Cup semi-final earlier this month. You can read our full match report on the sport page of the Radio Exe website.
Radio Exe will be reporting live from Ashton Gate on Saturday for Exeter's historic final. Keep an eye on our social media channels for regular updates through the afternoon - and tune into 107.3FM and DAB digital radio for more information.
