Action needed to tackle traffic bottleneck in village

The councillor for Starcross is calling for action to tackle the regular Saturday morning traffic bottleneck in the village.

The problem is the narrow point where pillars stick out into the road at the place where the A379 meets New Road.

It gets particularly bad during the summer when people are coming and going from local holiday parks, often with caravans on tow.

Alan Connett is asking the county council and police if it's possible to have a traffic control officer on duty on Saturdays.
