Free conference for tourism businesses

Free advice and support are being offered to tourism businesses in the Exeter area today, as part of the Government's flood recovery programme.

A conference is taking place at the Corn Exchange, organised by the Visit Devon tourism promotion group.

Media coverage of the damage to Dawlish railway line, storms and high tides, proved a deterrent to visitors earlier this year - leading to the launch of the 'Devon open for business' awareness campaign.

The conference will offer help in getting bookings up for the coming season, and becoming more resilient to future bad weather.
