Devon & Cornwall Police

Police need witnesses

Police investigating reports of a burglary from an agricultural building in Burlescombe, near Tiverton, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to reports of a suspicious van seen near a farm shed next to St Mary’s Church, Burlescombe, at around 5.40 pm on Saturday 11 March.

The van is believed to have been a Ford Transit long panel van with a 70 number plate and van hire insignia on the side in blue writing.

It is thought that entry was forced into the property, and a generator valued at around £300 was taken.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his mid-20s and wearing a light grey tracksuit.

If you witnessed the incident or have any information or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries, please contact police via our website here or by calling 101 quoting reference 50230057569.
