Guests can experience exquisite Westcountry-sourced food

Exeter's new multi-million pound Courtyard by Marriott Exeter Sandy Park is set to unveil its latest offering with the opening of the stylish View Restaurant this Wednesday.

Located on the summit of the four-star, 250-bed hotel, the View Restaurant not only offers "sophisticated, yet friendly” dining, but its picturesque 360-degree views across East Devon provide a unique added extra for diners.

Described as the hotel's "Jewel in the Crown" - the View Restaurant includes two private dining rooms, serving locally caught fish from Westcountry ports, prime Devon red beef, alongside other exquisite produce from across our food-loving region.

Overseen by Executive Chef, Richard Hunt, the View Restaurant offers capacity for 180 diners and will be open seven days a week from morning until night for residents and non-residents, although booking in advance is strongly advised.

Sitting alongside the extensive food menus will be a list of locally-inspired drinks, cocktail menus, together with an extensive selection of Champagne and wines.

The announcement of the View Restaurant's official opening comes just weeks after Exeter welcomed the grand unveiling of the state-of-the-art venue.

The new hotel forms a striking landmark as you approach the city, sitting astride the M5 and only a stone’s throw from Sandy Park Stadium, offering fans and businesses alike an all-encompassing experience at Sandy Park.

Tony Rowe, Chairman and Chief Executive of Exeter Rugby Club, said: "As a business, we are delighted to announce the official opening of the View Restaurant which, we believe, will provide a place where local people and our hotel guests can go for some exquisite Westcountry-sourced food, a nice bottle of wine, all set in a relaxed, affordable and family-friendly setting.

"The fact the restaurant is located on the roof of the hotel means our diners will get stunning views of the local area, whether that be looking down the Estuary towards Exmouth - or towards the hills on Dartmoor, making it a truly exceptional dining experience."

Kirsty Holburd, General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Sandy Park Hotel, added: "The official opening of the View Restaurant is generating huge excitement, not just amongst the staff here at the hotel, but also locally.

"With Richard Hunt as our Executive Chef, we have in place someone who is acutely aware of the quality local produce that is on offer from all across the region. Together with his team, he has created a mouth-watering menu and dining experience that we believe is hard to rival."

The new View Restaurant officially opens on Wednesday, June 1 and bookings can be made by calling (01392) 890999.
