More than nine thousand names have now been collected on a petition to save Elizabeth Hall in Exmouth.
And tonight at half past seven, the Friends of Elizabeth Hall, who want to save the seafront building, are holding a meeting to explain how their campaign is going.
Mike Green from the Friends group is worried that the public building on prime land will be turned into private flats:
