Air ambulance's children's mission

Devon charity launches quiz

Young explorers are invited to navigate their way around the Devon Air Ambulance website to discover some interesting and fun facts all about the local life-saving charity.

While many public and family-friendly attractions are now opening up across the county, there are still times when families are at home and in need of entertaining - especially with the changable weather. Answers to 10 quiz questions are located around the Devon Air Ambulance website. Once their mission is complete they will receive a special e-certificate and will also be entered into a monthly prize draw.

Each month, the charity will add a new mission featuring a fresh set of crew, helicopter or service-related questions, giving our young sleuths a chance to become that month’s winner. The first mission has already launched on the Devon Air Ambulance website and is already welcoming young fact-finders.

Devon Air Ambulance income generation director, Caroline Creer, says: “It can be quite difficult to keep children entertained during the summer holidays at the best of times, let alone after a long period during which schools have been closed. Our new fact-finding activity will help to keep children occupied for a little while and at the same time will introduce them to some exciting facts about Devon’s life-saving air ambulance service.”

Caroline continues: “Last year 10 per cent of those we airlifted were children, so we are always keen to engage young people in our work. We look forward to receiving lots of Mission Accomplished notifications and sending out our new ecertificates to the factfinders that have taken part!”

The website will be updated regularly with new missions for kids to enjoy and to learn more from, so visit www.daat.org/find-facts to enter the first mission.
