'Business as usual' for Flybe aviation training

Exeter airline Flybe - which announced 300 job losses yesterday - says its aviation training won't suffer as a result of the shake-up.

Up to 95 support posts are likely to go at the company's headquarters in Exeter, as the company contracts out some support activities.

The airline will focus on UK scheduled flights and the contract flying market in Europe in its bid to return to profitability... and says its customers for contract flying increasingly want training and engineering.
However the training will now come under a newly-formed division of the company which covers its outsourcing business.
