Exactly a week on from the Manchester terror attack, the bomb squad's blown up a suspicious package in Exeter.
An abandoned rucksack was reported at around 11.30pm on Monday night outside the Chevalier pub in the High Street. Police were alerted by a member of the public.
Nearby premises were evacuated and large parts of the City Centre cordoned off for two and a half hours whilst emergency services assessed the package.
The bag was checked over by a remote controlled device and destroyed in a controlled explosion.
The explosion - in the early hours of Monday morning - could be heard across large parts of the city.
Sergent Harry Tangye's reported that the rucksack was eventually found to be harmless.
