An unusual temporary re-housing project is being undertaken by East Devon district council - for a family of badgers.
The badgers have made their home near the tennis courts on Exmouth seafront, and the council needs to install an underground fence to stop them burrowing underneath the courts..
Working with Natural England, the council have built a temporary badger sett nearby .... linked to the animals' own home with tunnels.
The plan is to use one-way gates to divert the badgers into their temporary housing so that the fence can be built - they'll then be allowed back home.
