A specialist rescue team from Exmouth has helped save a cyclist from drowning in Newton Abbot
The crew was called to help fire and rescue staff from the town after the man lost his balance and ended up in flood water on Sunday afternoon. He was trapped up to his shoulders in the flowing water and was hanging onto a tree to keep himself above water. Crew threw a rope to him and dragged him to safety. He wasn’t seriously hurt.
