Police are appealing for information after an 89-year-old woman was robbed in broad daylight in Exeter yesterday (Tuesday 25th March).
She was walking along the cycle path between Velwell Road and Horseguards, Exeter, yesterday at around 11.15am, when she was approached by a woman.
The woman pushed over the victim’s trolley, spilling her shopping and handbag onto the footpath. She then shook the contents of the handbag onto the floor, picked up a brown leather and ran off.
She is described as a white female thought to be in her 30s, of slim build, with dark hair tied back, wearing a red top with black trousers.
