The Exeter Chiefs are hoping to confirm the signing of Fijian winger Watisoni Votu in the next few weeks.
Votu started his first international against Japan in the Pacific Nations Cup this week, and that means the Chiefs can press ahead with plans to obtaion a visa for him to come and play in this country.
He would be Head Coach Rob Baxter's ninth new signing for next season.
