A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape, following an incident in Exeter on Friday night [12 July] and the early hours of Saturday morning [13 July].
It is alleged to have happened on Bartholomew Street East between 7pm and just before 2am.
The man, a 36-year-old from London, was later released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Police say the victim, an 18-year-old woman, is being supported by specialist officers.
