A developer's plans for 65 new houses on a green-field site in Exminster, near Exeter, have been approved by Teignbridge District Council.
Bellway Homes had previously been denied planning permission for the properties on the land at Sentry's Orchard after residents expressed concern for the stress on local amenities and the village school.
It's thought the ruling could pave the way for a further development of 2000 homes in the village.
