Police have confirmed a 13 year old boy has died after his micro scooter (similar to the one pictured) was in collision with a car in Plympton last night (Wednesday 3rd April)
Officers were called to the northbound carriageway of the B3146, Sandy Road at 8.23pm, but he was pronounced deceased at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
A 29-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
The road was closed for hours for a forensic examination and police say enquiries are ongoing.
Witnesses are asked to contact them on 101 quoting log number 739 of 3rd April 2019.
