A five hour stand-off in Burnthouse Lane has come to an end
Police detained a man under the mental health legislation after the incident at a property in Burnthouse Lane, Exeter.
Emergency services were called at 10.20am this morning [15 March] after concern for the welfare of someone inside. The man was bought to safety from the property at 3.45pm.
Police say the man, in his 30s, was detained under mental health legislation and has been taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
Officers say they can't say if the man had a weapon.
