Police release e-fit after attempted Exmouth assault

Devon and Cornwall Police have released this e-fit of a man that they would like to speak to in connection with a report of attempted assault in Exmouth.

It happened in the early hours of Sunday (24th March) morning at a house on Liverton Close in the town. 

A woman in her 40s says she woke up to find an intruder in the house. He allegedly assaulted her before leaving the scene.

Investigating Office, Detective Sergeant, Lucy Skinner, said: “This investigation is in its early stages at this time and officers investigating are keen to speak to anyone with any relevant information.

“Anyone who saw a man matching the description below in Liverton Close or the wider Exmouth area on Saturday or Sunday is asked to contact police.

“This is currently being treated as an isolated incident and the victim, supported by specialist officers, has created an e-fit image.”

The male suspect is described as between 35 and 45 years old and of slim build. He is described as wearing a puffer jacket, dark red or purple in colour, and blue jeans. He was also wearing glasses.

Anyone who recognises the image, or the description above, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CR/025901/19.
