Police believe the items are being sold locally
Police are appealing to the community as part of their investigation into a burglary which happened at a residential property in Ashford, North Devon on the evening of Wednesday 26 July.
Several tools and items were stolen, and police are concerned that they may now be offered for sale locally.
Detected Sergeant Cartwright, of Barnstaple CID, said: “We are asking members of the community with concerns to contact us. Several tools and items have been stolen that may soon be offered up for sale in bulk as is unfortunately common with residential burglaries.
“The tools are all of the ‘STIHL’ brands and include a cut-off saw, a chainsaw, a strimmer, a pole hedge cutter, two batteries and a charger; there is also a Dell laptop, a Panasonic compact camera and charger, a Nexus mobile phone charger, and three rucksacks - two Berghaus and one Karrimor.
“These may be offered for sale all together, or in pieces. I would ask members of our local community that if they have been approached regarding the sale of such items, or see an advert and are concerned, to contact the police.”
