But is the council right in saying it needs to “get on” with the controversial project?
Also on the agenda is chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s budget and its ramifications for Devon, including extra money for potholes. And is the current bidding process for councils to get ‘levelling-up’ money from Westminster the right one?
In addition, we consider a plan to close Teignmouth Hospital which is being fought by local campaigners and councillors. It seems our guests are not keen on the idea either.
