He dipped more than his headlights
A car has been hoisted from Exeter canal basin after a young motorist drove it into the water on Wednesday evening.
The youngster got out okay, says Kayakhub Exeter, but he has some explaining to do. The vehicle belonged to him mum - and he didn't tell her until the next morning!
Kayakhub Exeter, who recorded the video, wrote on Facebook: "It was a young lad borrowing his mum's car - and might have had a drink too many. He got out ok.
"He didn't tell her until the next morning. That would have been somewhat of an interesting conversation!"
