Police promise "robust" action

Police in Exeter say they're getting an increasing number of reports about about anti-social behaviour involving children in the Newcourt area of the city.

The area, in the south west of Exeter between Topsham and Sowton, has been fast-growing over recent years. But with the increase in population has come an increase in low-level nuisance behaviour.

On Friday, the neighbourhood policing team took to social media to appeal for information to help them identify troublemakers so they can: "challenge the behaviour of these youths robustly."

They say: "If you witness anti-social behaviour or crimes being committed please report this information to us, we need to know what is happening, where it is happening, what time it has occurred and who it involves. In the event of an emergency please use the 999 system, if however you do not feel an immediate response is necessary please can you report using the 101 service available via telephone or online reporting."
