Chance of a boost for Devon's young people's centres

The campaign against the closure of young people's centres in Devon could get a boost, if the issue is chosen as a priority by the national youth parliament.

Up to a million 11 to 18 year olds will be balloted by the national youth parliament to decide which of 10 topics is the most important to young people.

The issues include a living wage for young employees, lowering the voting age to 16, improving mental health services... and funding youth centres instead of cutting them.

The Devon youth parliament has campaigned vigorously against the loss of centres in the county.
