Four people die in 24 hours
The number of people testing positive for coronavirus in Devon is now 505.
Public Health England reports that three people died at Derriford Hospital and one at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in the 24 hours to Good Friday at 5pm.
The Devon numbers are split into three areas: Plymouth, which has 119 positive cases, Torbay with 74 and the rest of Devon with 312.
The figures are for hospital patients only. People suffering covid-19 symptoms in care homes or the general community are not currently counted.
Nationally, nearly 20,000 people are in hospital with the disease. The government confirmed on Good Friday that an NHS Nightingale hospital at Westpoint, near Exeter, will open within the next few days with the capacity to look after 200 patients.
